This is a brand-new Christmas musical for primary schools, based on the children’s book written by Keith Hatton and illustrated by Joanna Cooper, with original music created by musical director Dan Smith.

The story begins on Christmas Eve, when Santa’s sleigh crashes in a snowy forest and Christmas looks set to be cancelled. Fortunately, the animals of the forest come to his rescue – but when the reindeer are unable to continue, a magnificent stag called Balder steps in to save the day. It’s a fun, magical story about teamwork, kindness and helping others, packed with songs, humour and Christmas spirit.

The musical can accommodate up to 60 children, but the cast is easily adaptable for smaller groups.
